Which brewing method works best for these Asian beans?
Our Indian beans excel in espresso-based drinks and filter coffee, making them perfect for flat whites and lattes. Sumatran beans shine in both French Press and espresso preparations, where their full body and complex flavours can fully develop. For both origins, we recommend slightly lower brewing temperatures than African beans.
Do these Asian beans work well with milk alternatives?
Absolutely! The creamy body of Indian beans pairs beautifully with oat milk, whilst Sumatran beans work particularly well with almond and coconut milk due to their robust character. Our baristas can recommend the perfect pairing for your preferred milk alternative.
Are Asian coffees more caffeinated than other origins?
Not necessarily. The caffeine content is more related to the variety of coffee (Arabica vs Robusta) than the origin. Both our Indian and Sumatran beans are 100% Arabica and have similar caffeine content to our other origins.
